WEAVING POLITICS

info

WEAVING POLITICS RETAKE preliminary dates: 13, 14, 15 December 2013 in Stockholm

WEAVING POLITICS symposium produced, and accumulated a tremendous amount of investment and content.

This investment, and content deserve to be taken advantage of, and further challenged.

WEAVING POLITICS RETAKE takes off from where we got to, retakes all the done and said, and insists on not leaving. Main purpose of the RETAKE is to allow for increased interaction, participation, responsibility and response, on & off track, inwards and outside. Crucial to the RETAKE is the merging and overlapping of lectures with discussions, and choreographic events. And the dwelling of a common/interactive preparatory time & place.

The RETAKE begins already now by a web-exchange between lecturers, audiences and any interested party.

The intention is to provide with time and space for all kinds of speeches and responses to articulate themselves in counterpoint to each other. And by that precede the actual event by the interweaving of a common content.

The RETAKE will be also processed by a series of working sessions between Cristina Caprioli/ccap and guest-collaborators. Focus will be aimed towards the terms and patterns according to which theory and practice articulate themselves by interaction; media-specifically, or by pluri-mediality and/or cross-disciplinary deviations. The work will relate to cc/ccap art production and discuss what motives counter actual impact and maneuvering space it may or may not dwell. This work will be recorded, and edited into a text- and digital publication, to be later released.

WEAVING POLITICS RETAKE is initiated and produced by Cristina Caprioli/ccap with funding from Vetenskapsrådet and  co-produced with Dansens Hus, DOCH and the community of freelance dancers in Stockholm.
