CHOREO_DRIFT in Berlin
CHOREO_DRIFT departs from the WEAVING POLITICS symposium and opens this Friday, August 15th
Sophiensaele in Berlin as the opening event of Tanz Im August 2014.
In Berlin, CHOREO_DRIFT features lectures and choreographies from ccap, Cristina Caprioli, Gabriele Brandstetter, Marcia Sá Cavalcante Schuback, and Boyan Manchev. CHOREO_DRIFT challenges the traditional modes of mediation of both lectures and choreography, and perform an orchestration of bodily gestures and virtual imagery as articulation of speech and movement.

Each event presents a cluster of lectures spoken by their authors as well as mediated by a series of choreographic responses. Attending audiences are invited to watch, listen, respond and themselves retrace proposed lectures and choreographies. Thus are encouraged to engage in a multiple sensory mode, both individually and collectively. Crucial to each event is the dwelling into a multiple sensory field of exchange, whereby a different choreography, itself subject/object of scrutiny, is collectively perceived, articulated and reciprocally exchanged.
This Berlin event marks the beginning of a ccap journey that maps Europe and the US east coast 2014 and 2015.
